Well, this message under Notices told me to introduce myself, so here I am

I've joined this forum becouse I have a few issiues that I encountered when creating a new map, but now I'm here, I might as well browse a little to see if I find something that I can help others with

If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me.

Welcome to The Hive Workshop, Avator.

You seem to already have an understanding of the site, but just in case I'll still give you the following info.

Feel free to begin posting right away. We have a quite friendly community here and only wish to make your time all that much better. But you should keep in mind that even the Hive Workshop has rules that you should try to remember. Take a look at the The Hive Workshop FAQ Page, for a detailed list of rules to follow. As long as you follow them you will surely not be pressured to review them.

After posting in a thread you will subscribe to it. Whenever someone replies to you in the subscribed thread it will notify you of this in your User Control Panel. You can access that by clicking the “User CP” link below the Nav Bar. Inside the User CP you can see your reputation, change your avatar, edit your signature, and modify your account options.

To make navigation throughout the site easier use the Nav Bar at the top of the page. You can see the Hive Workshop's many pages and sections there.

Searching for a cool map or campaign to play? Visit the Maps Section.

If you are in the midst of making your own map or campaign and need assistance, check out the World Editor Help Zone. Go ahead and ask our experienced mappers for help. Remember to Search before posting! This will surely help you find quicker the answers you need.

If you need some resources, like models, skins, or spells, check out our Skins Section or Models Section. If you cannot find what you need there, feel free to ask our artists in the Requests Section. Still can’t get what you’re looking for? Take a look at some of tutorials in the Tutorials Section, and learn to make them yourself!

Visit the mentioned forums as well if you want to submit a map or campaign, a new custom resource, or a tutorial.

Once again, welcome to the Hive Workshop! We wish you good luck in your Warcraft III modding days.

Sincerely, the Hive Workshop Greeters

Those are pretty much obvious rules that can be followed, using common sence :p

There is however something that should be added to the FAQ I think. It's probably useful to add that moderators change a thread's prefix from [Unsolved] to [Solved] when the question is answered. I just noticed that the prefix of 1 of my threads got changed, so I assume a moderator did that, but I've been searching the forum for half an hour or something to find out how to change my thread's prefix! So like I said, it might be useful to add in the FAQ that moderators change it for you ;)

Don't take my word on this, but I think that you are the one to mark a thread solved or unsolved. Though a moderator always has that power. You can always ask your greeter for info like that.

Well, I've been trying to change it myself, but I don't see a button in the thread or when I edit my first post where I can change the prefix.

If you could show me how I can change the prefix of my threads, it would be of great help.

If a thread is marked solved, I believe this cannot be changed. I am not an expert in this field, so talk to Hawkwing, your greeter, or one of the moderators.
