Hero Tech Problem

ok on my map i made it so you have to buy a hero berfor you can upgrae.

and now when you buy one of 4 specific units

including

fire lord
tinker
achimile or somet like that
and a cyustom one i added

it still says you dont have a hero and you cant upgrade.

how i fix this?

You can set a value to True, when you buy your unit, like this

  • Unit - A unit sells a unit
• Conditions
  • Or - Conditions
    • (Unit-type of (Sold unit)) Equal to Fire Lord
    • (Unit-type of (Sold unit)) Equal to Tinker
    • (Unit-type of (Sold unit)) Equal to Alchemist
    • (Unit-type of (Sold unit)) Equal to (your custom one)
• Actions
  • Set BoughtHero[(Owner of (Sold unit))] = True

• Trigger2
• Events
  • Unit - A unit begins an upgrade
• Conditions
  • (BoughtHero[Owner of (Triggering unit)]) Equal to False
• Actions
  • Custom script: call IssueImmediateOrderById (GetTriggerUnit(), 0xD0008)

thanx but how i get the custom script opart

oh it isnt a sold uit its a trained unit so will sold unit still work

oh and what type of varible is boughtunit

is it a unit varible

now i cant find

Set BoughtHero[(Owner of (Sold unit))] = True
and
(BoughtHero[Owner of (Triggering unit)]) Equal to False

Just type what's after "Custom script: ". It's the action "Custom script". I would like to know though, how did you make it? What prevent it you from upgrading? Did you do it with upgrade, having requirements?

Edit: No, replace "Sold unit" with "Trained unit" then in every action and use "Unit - A unit finishes training a unit" as an event.

Yes i did do it with upgrades require a hero. all heros work besides them 4 only ones i noticed so far

it set so you have to own a hero to upgrade as you only get 3 minutes to pick hero in so they cant have multiple

Yeah, this training thing is potentially problematic, as far as I can see. So, I tried selling a unit and it worked. Just base your selling unit off Tavern and it will work. You don't need triggers. What is more, add to your upgrade the "Any hero" requirement. Here is a test map; go to the Blacksmith and you'll realize a hero is required. Once you buy Dark Ranger, the upgrade will be enabled. yes i know that its like thye the upgrade require a hero just them 4 units when you buy one it still says you need a hero.

EDIT i tested your map

it works with dark ranger just not with

fire lord
tinker
achelist or whatever
and any custom hero


so if i buy anjy of the above heros it doesnt enable the upgrade

thats only problem with the map

like i said in 1st post

on my map if i buy a dfark ranger it enables the upgrade if i buy a tinker it doesnt enable the upgrade

Use "Any hero" from "Equivalents", don't select every hero from Unit-types, because then, you need all of the heroes to make it work. Didn't you check the test map? https://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums...0575043-hero-tech-problem-upgrade-enabled.w3x

yes i tested the map and yes it is already any hero for upgrade just them 4 heros dont enablele it all the other heros enable upgrdse when bought just them 4 dont ewnable it when there bought

your test map is a dark ranger and dark ranger works on my map just tinker and achelist and custom heros and fire lord dont let you upgrade iuf you have one of them
