Sorry, but i cant help with your first two questions because i have the same problems. but i do know how to make heros.First go to the oblject editor then start to edit a hero.Change the name at the bottom and then delete all of the proper names. make your own proper name that the hero will go by and then you have your own hero. if you want you can still change the skin and voice set and all that stuff.
