HELP! other computer stuck in power save mode

1 - try starting windows in safe mode and enable it back. If you can't enable it back then use system restore.
2- if first step cannot be completed, reinstall windows.

1.5 - Remove the little battery in the motherboard for 15 minutes, yes the round sliver thing, do not break the plastic, do not eat it, and put it in after 15 minutes, then boot it up.

No, that's no good. You do this CMOS battery thing when you've screwed up some settings in BIOS, not when you screw up some OS settings.

The battery has nothing to do with the monitor.
