harvesting system

Here is my request:
I had a BIG BIG BIG idea. Do you think its possible to attach a model to a unit when it harvest something? It will, for example, cut a tree, and then, a model of wood will be attached to the unit and it will return the ressource to the base.
So here is my request, is it possible to have a script to make this real :D?
And if its possible, is it possible to add a section in the model section of the hive for custom ressource? From wood to rock, from gold to diamond, from bronze to steel, so please, make this possible :)

I don't know jass and it's been too long since I've used the editor to remember how to attach a model to a model, although this part shouldn't be that much of a problem. I think there might be an order given to return a unit when it reached the maximum of harvestable resources, so if it is possible to detect when that order is given that might be the event you need.
 
You can easily do this with triggers, no need for a script. Just make sure that the unit has the proper attachment points.
