gutz.blp => textures\gutz.blp? wc3s import help needed

Hello guys! I am working on an import script for wc3sear.ch models. I have however come to some models missing their skins, but these skins exist. We are talking about gutz.blp. One model EasterBunny.mdx requires the skin gutz.blp but it doesn't exist in the root of wc3 but in textures\gutz.blp.. So I was wondering:
If a model requires a skin with no path, will it go look for it in textures\ ?

I am not too familiar with Mdxs, and mdls, sorry I cannot provide a more definitive answer :/ I primarily worked with Net Immerse Objects before getting into warcraft.

A wild and unlikely hypothesis. They lie within the .exe?

The models texture path must be changed to textures\gutz.blp. Then the texture is no longer required to be downloaded or imported, because it is inside the game already.
