enjoy: Hardly approvable. Lacks proper shading, highlights. Lacks background, definition and the shape is not clean and smooth like it should be. Look at some tutorials.

Well its mostly yellow so think it might show, or alternatively, you could add a snazzy background! (Background this time meaning like a border around the ring)

Hmm snazzy background? Ill make it black, because i dont have it now in plates but as one image

I saw it when i started editing because of background - realy dont know why... maybe some bug but i am fixing it + making background

And you should add some shadows, there is only highlights, no shadows. You should as well add some details.

3. Only 2 colors used there. (I wonder is it worked in Paint)
4. It must have nice background.
5. Yellow rings are out of fashion. It doesn't looks like gold color at all.

4. It must have nice background. - It must not, it looks better most of the times, but it is not a must.
5. Yellow rings are out of fashion. It doesn't looks like gold color at all. - No need to be so hooked up with names, change the name to YellowRing or Ring and we're done.

I think, with a little more work, add some shadows, details, and a nice background, it can turn out quite well.

It could be something as simple as a regular glow Example
Or something like this, but with your current experience i think you should stick with glows.

Cones:
- It isn't round
- No perspective
- Bad execution
- Bad Higlights/Shading
- The Sapphire goes outside the borders
- No background

Pros
+ I like it's simplicity

Here on hive we have a high standard for icons to be approved.
If you change those things above i'll vote for approval and rate higher.

Well I must say the others are right,
but you'r pretty new in Icon making.
Ehm well, that's not really a Icon that would be agreed from hive,
because here are just... how they say "high enough quallity" Icons,
you know that this ring haven't enough quallity, but you'r new.
