Gem Activated/Deactivated WTF

OK, so i was screwing around a bit with one of my terrains and I saw this little green swirly thing (looks almost like a round fingerprint) at the bottom right corner of my screen. It's right where the vertical and horizontal scroll bars meet. When I click on it it says Gem Activated and when I click it again it says Gem Deactivated. What is this? Does any1 know?

If you spam click it, there will be played some sounds. But if you activate id, and try to delete an unit, it will play its death animation

i've wondered this too, but its just like in the diablo 2 battle.net lobby, there is also a gem there, when u click it, it says gem deactivated/activated
same as in the WE for WCIII
they have no purpose, and are just cookies

but, just like MeKC said, it does make sounds if you spam click it enough, generally just heroes funny comments when u keep selecting them.
