Features
Squads:
- Control unique squads of units to dominate the Furnace
- Each team has a commander that orchestrates the battle. Currently unimplemented.
- Every unit has been redesigned and balanced for Furnace. In many cases, units have been enhanced. For example, Lurkers spines have been redesigned to hit with more impact. Marines fire three-round bursts. Immortal projectiles have a delayed impact, allowing quicker units to outrun the blast radius. Reapers attack while moving, like a Phoenix. All to make squads more interesting and more impactful.
- Every squad plays differently, and each squad bests another. Players must coordinate to optimize their squads.
Unique Races:
- Terran, Protoss, and Zerg each play differently. Each race has five unique squads. Protoss regen shields. Terran can be healed. And Zerg squads have conjoined health, meaning they take damage and die as a single unit.
- Cover-spots throughout the battlefield provide defense for ranged units, but boost damage from melee attacks.
- Zerg kills create patches of creep from their victim's bodies.
