It says new races, but there is only one. Even if it is a demo, at least change the name for it so ppl don't get the impression there will be many races.
Oh, and you say 'play for alliance'. This is meant to say 'play as Humans to feel the experience of my Blood Elf extravaganza'. That sounds more correct and adds a little more 'razzle dazzle' to the whole feel of it.
Now, to the business. Overall, not a bad race at all. Promising addition, use of imports are... well, in the most case effective, but the skin over the Gargoyle Spire... it looks good, but as a standard Warcraft building, it's too big, especially seeing as how it seems to add to the building, making me think I should have referred to it as a model... too big >.<
Repetition of icons, to me, looks unprofessional and tacky. Find a new icon for either the Paladin-Inquisitor or the Hero. And do the same for the Earth Fury and Sky Fury towers. And how about making them upgradeable from a base tower, like the standard Humans? Possibilities, possibilities...
Like the Foutain of Mana idea. Again, the model is too big, but the idea is great, just reduce the size a little (not too much
). I love the name Witch-hunter
. It's awesome
. Well used, Mana Burn attack is quite a nice addition for a base Archer, awesome idea!
Paladin-Inquisitor's ability is an okay idea, in practice a little op if done like that. It's an early ability for the first unit, that unit costs the same as a Footman (gold
and food wise), which adds up to easy spamming for this particular unit. Otherwise, it's okay, but getting
85 health back for each unit you kill with it... it's made to be more powerful than a Footman in stats, and yet it costs exactly the same
and gets sooo much more health. How about making it cost 3 food, around 180-200 gold and 15-25 lumber? Keep it as the first unit, having that extra expense would be cool ;P
Many upgrades still require Castle, simple bug, fix it
Overall, I love your ideas. I don't like them being used on a Blood Elf race, I must confess, it makes me think more of the Scarlet Crusade
. Despite this minor inconvenience, it's worth looking at, but it's still a demo map with 1 of the 4 races done, and it's not yet complete. Won't last long, but worth a look at if you get a chance
