For those of you who are not familiar with the map, Founders of the North is the 3rd highest rated map on Hiveworkshop.com and one of my favourite maps of all time. The playstyle is one that I haven't seen in many warcraft maps; start off as a single unremarkable peasant like hero who can construct a base, quest, kill monsters, work for money (hunting, fishing, trading etc.) and usually a healthy mixture of all of the above. On the actual page they rate the genre as: "Defense / Survival, Life of a Peasant / LOAP, Miscellanous / Other, Role Playing Game / RPG, Strategy".
My problem here is, I've managed to find only a single other map which is even remotely similar to the play style. Does anyone else know any maps of similar make and quality?
Additionally, I would propose a new genre which would encompass maps like these. I know not what it would be called. It seems like quite a niche category that in calling it a "Defense/Survival/LOAP/RPG/RTS" doesn't really seem to do it justice.
