Arthas and his allies

BTNHeroDeathKnight.png

King Arthas Menethil
Arthas was one of the first Lich King's death Knight and Champion of the Undead Scourge. Only a few know that he was, in fact, an human, a member of the first and now extinct race of Scourge. Now, however, he serves as Lich King's merciless hunter and executioner, killing whomever his master wishes to see dead. Arthas is the main leader on Scourge, no living and no dead creature can outmatch his skills. He never misses his target nor does he care much for the fate of any living race, he just considers them prey to be hunted. Still, Arthas is no brainless brute, he has a cruel and cunning personality. He might prefer forceful solutions, especially when they include hunting down a powerful foe, but he also prefers malicious plans to find the most effective solution. Out of all Undead, Arthas is the one who knows Lich King the best, better than most others, and is absolutely loyal towards his masters' goals.

BTNLichVersion2.png

Kel'Thuzad
Kel'Thuzad's history might have been centuries ago, but it remains legendary in the Kingdoms. There's not a soul who has never heard of the Arch Lich of the Scourge, a master of cold magic whose powers rivaled even the death knight Arthas on Silvermoon. Kel'Thuzad spent his life leading the armies of the Scourge against the humans - and also any human that crossed his path. It is said that he was killed by Arthas and Jaina Proudmoore. For this deed, Arthas raised him as a archlich back then proclaimed him the "eternal friend". Kel'Thuzad also had many friends among the Scourge, most famously Arthas, who had traveled at his side for many years. Kel'Thuzad also was a loyalty friend of Arthas for a long time.

BTNHeroCryptLord.png

Anub'arak
Anub'arak was ancient king of Azjol-Nerub, Lord of the Nerubian and Guardian of the Undead Scourge. In combat, it would learn, improve itself, become more powerful with every battle. Some think that Anub'arak serves as an extension of Lich King's will, others think it is just a more powerful crypt fiends to serve in battle. The truth depends on the point of view, but there is one thing everybody agrees on: Anub'arak is powerful and its abilities make it more useful than any other crypt fiends. His brother, Toten'arak dislikes staying on the shore for longer than absolutely necessary, for the frozen is his true home. He is said to have been a critic and even an enemy of Toten'arak until the two of them were assigned to a special mission.

Captain Falric
Falric was a Captain of the Scourge. In life, Falric was a captain who lived in Lordaeron and before the Third War. Despite his fathers' disapproval, he had joined Arthas in his youth and had quickly proven his worth to the order. When the Scourge arrived, Falric joined them in battle, fighting at their side to the borders of the lands of the arctic Northrend. However, when the Alliance has been defeat Mal'Ganis, Captain Falric was among those who had been slain in the ambush of Mal'Ganis. Like most others, he was raised again by death knight Arthas, to fight the Alliance once more. Falric proved his worth to the Scourge and was put in charge of several misions.

Kath'ranis Remar
Even before his death, Kath'ranis was merciless. He served as executioner in the Highborne, even declining knighthood to do so. He hunted and killed everyone who broke the law. No matter what crime they had committed, they died. The concept of mercy was alien to him. However, one day, he betrayed Illidan because Lady Vashj were leaded the Highborne and kill Kath'ranis, and he died. While there were no traitors in the ranks of the Undead who were bound to Lich King's will, Kath'ranis' skills would instead be put to use against the other races, the ones who dared to endanger the balance of Scourge. However, this position sometimes puts him at odds with Arthas, who is Lich King's oldest servant and also serves as first Lich King's death mage - if way more subtle than Kath'ranis. They are both killers, but while Arthas is more of an assassin, Kath'ranis is more of a butcher. While Arthas prefers ironic comments or even jokes, Kath'ranis does not differ between the strong and the weak, he slays them all with brutal ruthlessness.

General Shin Ryu-jin
General Ryu-jin is the most ruthless and merciless general in the Scourge. She is known for using every available weapon against her enemies without showing any pardon. Her background is a mystery. She simply appeared out of nowhere and became general. She proved very fast, that she got that position for a good reason, destroying the enemies of the Scourge with fast, merciless effectiveness. She is the leader of the Dark Elves, an elite force of the Scourge, which often carries out top secret missions for the Undead herself. According to rumors, Ryu-jin herself enjoys the favor of the Undead - much to the frustration of many higher-ranking Scourges. Yet none would dare make a move against her, as in the past, such attempts ended in disaster.

Duke Dreadmoore
A commander of the Undead Scourge. Duke's ability to inspire others and thoughtful leadership tactics earned him a high level of respect among his people during the Third War. Shortly after the great war ended, the profound commander lessened his presence within Undead society, reluctant to continue living under the pressures of leadership that was highly expected of him. Duke Dreadmoore is humble, modest and is able to remain resilient in the face of extreme danger. Using the power of the Lich King as an advantage Duke Dreadmoore and his newly found Scourge acted discreetly to increase their numbers and strength by converting and absorbing the energies. Duke Dreadmoore is dedicated to his people and humble towards his allies, yet feared by his enemies.

Illidan and his minions

BTNEvilIllidan.png

Illidan Stormrage
Illidan was Malfurion’s twin brother, and imprisoned since the end of the War of the Ancients due to the creation of the new Well of Eternity. Maiev Shadowsong and her Watchers were originally assigned to keep him imprisoned, but since their departure, Illidan has been able to escape. With a deep hunger for magic, Illidan now seeks to reclaim himself by using the Burning Legion’s own power against them. He is a troubled and reckless individual who tries to leave his mark on the world through his actions. Having a new goal in mind in order to avert the Oracle’s Prophecy in his own way, Illidan focuses on acquiring various sources of power to combat the Legion seeking redemption and acknowledgement from Tyrande and the society which casted him out. However, Illidan often clashes with his brother who has his own plan on eliminating the demon threat.

BTNBLoodMage2.png

Kael'thas Sunstrider
Born in the Empire, Kael'thas already was a respected lord of the Blood Elven Army when it arrived in Draenor. Having fought against the Demons for years, he and his soldiers had gained quite the reputation in the Imperial Army. Lord Kael'thas was the general in charge of all armies during the Voidwar, the war against the Demons that was supposed to be the last one. He led the army of Blood Elves and Naga to victory after victory. However, they were betrayed by a general of the Alliance and lured into a trap. All other generals fell, only Kael'thas survived and he ordered the armies to retreat. Without this retreat, the remaining army would have been wiped out and the Kingdoms would have been left defenseless. Despite the failure, Kael'thas was honored for his efforts and offered a chance to retire, living the rest of his life in peaceful luxury back home. However, Kael'thas declined, stating that he would continue fighting against the enemies of mankind until they were all finally dealt with Illidan, once and for all.

Lady Vashj
Vashj was one of the few members of the Highborne who were not born as child of its members. Instead, her queen was a queen and she was her firstborn, destined to take over the lands of her queen after her death. However, when her family lost the favor of the Naga, they were die during tsunami at Highborne City and all but Vashj were sacrified to their goddess. Vashj was instead given the chance to join the Naga Army - and she took the chance. Given her status as a "changed" - a priestess born outside the Naga who were considered "unclean" by some - and her family record, she had to fight for every bit of acknowledgement and appreciation, much more than most others did. One day, however, she had finally managed to become a high priestess, which made many "forget" that she was "changed". The mistress of the Naga saw this as a sign of the goddess, allowing more changed to join the Naga who became fierce, loyal followers of Lady Vashj.
