FleshGhoul.blp

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
The first skin I made that I'm actually so satisfied with that I'm gonna upload it. Basically a Ghoul with muscles showing, a useful skin for zombie-maps. Kinda got the inspiration from the Fast Head Crab Zombies of Half-life 2.

All flesh and blood + the eyes are 100% freehand. I recolored the tongue and cnp'd the kneecap and the exposed bone in the arm, if you must know.

The little skulls on his feet where actually unintentional; I was trying to paint skeletal feet, but it started looking like this. I thought it looked nice so I left them there, you can't really see them in game anyway.

I would have made the claws bloodier If only I knew where exactly the claws' skin is. I tried several times to locate it but I gave up.

No team color I'm afraid, I don't need a team color for my intended use of this skin, and if you're making a zombie-map, team color doesn't really matter, does it? "Zombie evil, shoot zombie", right?

Lemme know what you think of the skin.

Read the rules. You most not post your first skin! Post a second skin. It's a recolour but i still like it! make more meat!

It's not the first skin I made, it's the first skin I actually uploaded, sorry if I didn't make that clear enough. And it's not just a recolour, it's new muscle tissue texture I added by drawing it. I guess all the detail in the muscles doesn't really show as good as it did back in Photoshop... I could post one with more pixels later.

[+] Looks quite good
[+] It's not just a recolor, it's freehand (THANKS GOD!!!)
[+] Muscles look pretty well made
[+] Bloody teeth look awesome

BAD
[-] Purple tongue... it ruins the skin, make it red
[-] Area on head, could also use little more work, with flesh

NEUTRAL

I made the tongue purple because when I first thought I was done, I felt that the skin lacked something, something to make the ghoul look even more wierd and disturbing and the whole skin looked a bit monotone with all that red, so I put a colour in there that's far from red/white.

I didn't edit the face that much because when I tried it out, I thought it looked like a skull with all skin and flesh peeled off, and the white "dot" on the front part of the model gave it a nice profile from the top-down game camera view.

I could perhaps try and make a version with a fleshy face and red tongue, but I'll save it for later; I have other ideas to work on.

Really cool skin, but I agree with the previous posters, the purple tongue could have been done without and the face would be cool with more blood on it.

I don't know why, but this one I like. Maybe it is the bone details, meaning that the flesh over his head and claws already gone.
