Adding up animals was an idea.
Maybe some fishes and birds will do..^^
 
As mentioned, this is nice for a first, the fact that you are not using blizzard cliffs is a great plus. But i do think your rocks look a bit strange hanging in the cliffside, the cliffs also look very empty as it is.
Since gravity does it's job, more rocks are usually found at the bottom of the cliff, in the water.

I do not support the idea of adding unit models in a terrain, but thats just me.

Anyways, yeah the terrain looks quite good for being a first time terrain. You should want to focus on adding more doodads, and variate a bit more, not to mention that you should think about what looks good and what doesnt.

You have talent. I suggest you get familiar with UTM and start experimenting with fog and lights. Also doodad tinting is something you should make use of. I agree with Keiji that you should stay away from animals. I would go for shrub 4 from UTM instead of the grass you have used now. Anyway, looking forward to see more terrains from you. :)
