So you mean you created custom units? Oh. Those exist only in your map, and all changes to normal units exist only in your map. Wc3viewer lets you view the stuff that you use for units, spells, etc. This just lets you extract and modify those things. It doesn't include units you make in maps.

So i can only apply skins to the ones that are not the custom made ones (what i mean by custom is that u go into object editor, right click on a unit, right click and press paste wich makes just a copy of that unit). i cant find a path for that copied unit?

Do you mean the path for the model for the unit? What are you trying to accomplish? Are you trying to manipulate a single map, or modify your warcraft 3 game itself (not recommended)? Are you importing a skin? Or are you just not able to find your custom units in the World Editor?

well i have been using warcraft viewer to see the ports and it gives u lists of the units in the tree view. but the units on the treeview are only the ones that are there if u were just to be creating a new map (at the very start and have changed nothing). so what im baicly saying is that i went into object editor clicked on "Blood Mage" right clicked and pressed copy, then pasted it wich creates a new model so u can modify that one without modifying the origional Blood Mage so u can have as many units as u wanted instead of the limited supply of models they give u in the start but the "custom models" dont show up in the treeview so i dont know what paths to choose?

No, copying a unit does NOT create another model that you can modify. You have to use WC3Viewer to extract the model, convert the model to mdl with YobGul's, THEN edit the mdl, then import it to another path

ok step by step...
i open my wc3 viewer then i go to extract Mdx., or Blp. or u can extract and convert what does that mean... extract and convert Blp., BMP/TGA/JPG to Blp. and finaly convert Blp. to BMP/TGA/JPG.
What does all of this mean? and once u tell me wich one it is could u tell me where all the wc3 modles are kept so i can extract im and how to put im back into the map.

Thank You For The Help

Why are you using war3viewer? What are you trying to accomplish?

(Models != Units), and (Units != Models).

What model a unit uses is part of the data of the unit. If you want to make new units, copy the old units and paste 'em back in again. Then change the model it uses by selecting any model from the drop-down list it gives you.

If you want to learn to do model editing though, you're in entirely the wrong area.
