In my map elite units get a greater Elite bonus (damage capacity, life, armor) depending on how low their level is, the lower the level, the greater the bonus.
They also gain 25% attack speed, 10% movement speed, and 150 bonus mana (if it uses mana).

It's kind of hard to decipher what's engraved on the star.
