This will probably sound like a repeat of whats been said but at the moment, the skin is horrid.
You need to learn to shade, things are not just blobs of color smeared together.
a texture in that fashion may work better for high-poly render, but for this type of game you need to detail each piece and place a light source. A light source will give the skin detail and shape, instead of it being a blob.
Most of all you need to learn to give your skins shape, and detail. Take a smaller brush at very low opacity with a color of black and or a darker shade of the skin, and bring it back over areas that require shape, like the neck and jawline and the eye for crying out loud. Don't forget to shade the back of each scale since in most cases they overlap each other a bit.
after you add a few shaded spots bring out a tiny brush with white or such and touch up the scales at the points they are almost guaranteed to shine if they are slimy. dont forget to add light to other parts that require it
