Hello Shadowman! I can’t give the answer to this question for DoBRP, but the series is very outdated (2008 as you can see). Since then, some new series were released: SotDRP, then RoTRP, and then the newest SotFRP. In all these series you definitely can build bridges and waygates. You can find them on the web or probably here on Hive. SotFRP also has its own Discord: Join the Shadows of the Future Discord Server!

I never played this kind of map, but I can tell you it's very old and you can't actually play it on latest versions of Warcraft 3.
There is a chance the game crashes often. I even tested DoBRP on Warcraft 3 1.24 several years ago and I encountered fatal errors after 1-2 hours of gameplay, but there is no option to build a bridge and waygates.
As Rhazarian said, you can try SotFRP map as an alternative.
