Im planning to make this months ago. Yes this is possible. It is simply just a random hero system + removing the hero type from all taverns.

yea i was also thinking about making this. im making a different system that can be used for quests atm tho to add to spells section. mybe ill make this after if u havent and if he still needs it.

what if he doesnt want just random hero picking but make the AI antipick your heroes or some other stuff?

Then you have to code the antipick and the stuff depending on the ennemy pick/stuff.
Just assign numbers to every heroes and make a complex AI system ^^'
