Patch 1.0.7 「Brawling」

Patch 1.0.7 is finally out of beta testing and now released to the public.
The update introduces the first form of PvP to the game, namely "Brawling".
Players will be teleported to the new area "Scorched Chapel", where they can play FFA matches. (1v1 / 1v1v1 / 1v1v1v1)
Just interact with the NPC Nek the Brawler (located in each act hub) to get started.

Wings of Liberty 「6GB Patch」

Blizzard has released a 6GB patch for SCII: Wings of Liberty: It does not change anything, it is simply making your game ready for an upcoming patch.
The download is in the background, so the progress meter will not be updated.

Sigh he forgot to mention the StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty pre-patch download...

In preparation for an up-and-coming StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty patch and the release of Heart of the Swarm expansion pack there is a 6 GigaByte pre-patch. This includes both the data for the coming Wings of Liberty patch as well as the pre-installation data for Heart of the Swarm expansion pack.

The download of the pre-patch will begin after any existing updates complete in the game launcher. You can check the status of the download under Connection information. The download is over 6 GigaBytes in size so people with slow or limited internet have to be careful. The download will stop as soon as any Blizzard game is started (be in StarCraft II or Diablo III) and will resume by restarting the launcher.

If you are using DSL type connection you should consider disabling Peer-to-Peer download as this might slow down the download due to the mechanics of the connection medium or policies of the ISP.
