While I have kept on thinking ways on how to do this, it's nearly as if you'll need to do the long way of it. I'll try to tinker with "Is issued an order" events and turning triggers on and off. This is just a thought though, I may come up of something more efficient than this... well, since I'm a GUI user only, sadly.

EDIT: Maybe create an event first and a boolean variable with an event "Uses an Item" event, then in that event maybe set the booleans. I don't know how the timings are occurrin in these triggers, but it's worth a shot.
