Dark Templar/Gnomish Sub invisibility {making a unit invisible while attacking}

I was wondering if anyone had come up with a way to make a unit invisible, even though it's attacking. For this to work, the only way said unit would be visible/targetable would be when it's in the range of a unit w/true sight or some other detection ability. What I'm looking for is the same as the Dark Templar from StarCraft and the Gnomish Submarine/Orc Turtle from WC2. Thanks in advance!

The problem with the Ghost ability is that it causes the unit with the ability to ignore the collision size of other units who also have the Ghost ability. Basically, you'll have units inside of each other, which looks odd; unless of course that is what you're looking for.

How can you make it so that the casting unit does not have to target anyone (activate ability for himself.)
