[Custom Spell] Diablo's Lightning Inferno

Is anyone able to please help me out with making a custom spell that is similar to Diablo's Lightning Inferno from Diablo 2? I was thinking of speeding up a firespell and making it channeling, but trying to add some sort of "lightning" effect to that became troublesome

I looked around for pictures of this spell, but I couldn't find any. But most people who have played Diablo 2 should know what I'm talking about.

Anyone here know any ideas on how to do it? Or if you have time, could you please do it for me? Thanks!

umm use triggers to make a chain effect between points, however if you want it like a flame thrower like in d2 i got no idea, it is a cool spell though, you prolly need a custom mdl of fire with lightning inside it

Yeah, that's what I want....the flamethrower like spell with has the lightning inside of the fire. How do you go about creating a custom mdl file?

to creat a custom mdl you need a mdling prog, google 1 of the following
blender, milkshake, 3dsMax
But to edit a premade mdl all you need is war3model editor, which u can find on this site in the tools section, also for textures/skins (the part that colors the mdl) may i sugest Gimp, its also free
