Custom Script Code for Item death?

I would like to know the Custom Scripts needed to Identify that the item Boolean is dead Could anyone help find this, What I have in mind is Making A trigger that if it is dead it lowers the Integer Amount of a Integer Variable I got the first part down now I just need the Item part.

I believe you just check the items health to see if it is dead.
