Also, here is a small tutorial on how to use these.
Download the tool Button Manager, created by Shadow Daemon.
Once downloaded, extract everything and open the directory where you extracted it to.
Open the folder custom.
Simply place the downloaded borders in here.
Now, to use custom borders, simply press the F4 button and click the one you'd like to apply. Save the icon via File --> Save file as...
If you want to use custom ATT and UPG borders, you will have to do the following to let "Button Manager" automatically resize the main image: Tools --> Settings --> Image, choose the border you need and apply these settings.
Special thanks to Shadow Daemon for both his tool and his advice!
Wow, I tought one day of the idea of giving different races a different border for fancyness, but always tought also "Nah, wold make the icon silly." Actually as you made it looks incredible! makes the icons stand out without killing the feel. 5/5
I hope other artists will follow and upload their icon borders aswell.
If they don't, please make sure to check out the 2D Art mini-contest.
Everyone provided great entries!
What was the name of the standard icon that was replaced? What are the paths for these icons? Best of all, you can provide an example of the map, so that US novices can imitate, easier to learn.
