Custom campaign/map sequels

Does anyone share my feeling or i should say prejudice against playing certain campaigns because of the release time? Playing games for me has been especially personal because when i play a good game i always remember my life outside that game as if both worlds were syncing. That is why i almost certainly dismiss any new maps that came out in recent years cause my real life hasnt been as good in this time period. I only have interest older maps because they were introduced before stuff in life went downward. Playing wacraft related stuff always brings to memory the good moments outside the game world more than the game itself so it feels like being frozen in time. Does anyone feel the same?
