I'm trying to make a cave where some kind of hermit lives.

from this angle it kinda looks like a hole in the ground rather than a cave.
add a ladder ? or some kind of stairs for an illusion of depth.
also if somebody lives down there I can imagine it would be a pain to navigate through the pitch dark, maybe add a torch there somehow.

The torch is inside the cave (some other place in the map, I'll make the 'in-cave' later. Outside are the clothes, fishes and boxes.

Inside lives some kind of naturist hermit monk.

- Added two more rocks to make it less "hole in the ground" and more "cave hole".

Well... this is not a Terrain showcase, it's an RPG i'm working on. There's a wood near to the cave, and there's a potion there... Problem? :P Cloths are there because the monk is drying them with sunlight =)

Oof course it could be improved... I just wanted some oppinions about this. The area still requires a lot of terraining work... I'll update it when some major improvement have been done :)

the ground at the entrance could use some work. maybe if the black bit was not as oval-shaped, but flattened a bit more at the bottom?

or try adding another defined edge with another boulder, as on the right-hand side...

No, it's a black fog model... actually, that's the best angle to look at it, if the player changed the angle, it seems like the dark is in front of the cave, and not inside it :P

For now I am working on 2 projects with 1 of theme almost finished. I don't know what time i`l have but making your terrain from time to time won't be a problem at least.
Just send me the map and some instructions, I'll see what I can do!

dude marvelous work with your cave, but you need to close all of those gaps in your rock base.

simply make a new doodad coming from the "Hay Clump" model and change it in your desired rock model and your done, like this for an example:

its a simple and yet useful approach for everyone
