[Trigger] Combat System - Ranged units not missing?

I have a system setup where a player can hit or miss and to create the miss effect, I cast a 0.5 second duration curse spell with 100% miss chance. This is cast by a dummy unit created that is then later destroyed.

My question is, when I try this system with a ranged unit, it never picks it up, he always hits 100% of the time, regardless of having the buff or not.

I tried increasing the duration of curse to 2 seconds, to give time for the arrow to reach the target but that did not work either.

What might be the cause?

Yea, I believe what's going on is the missle is firing for a sure hit, then the hit/miss code runs and since the missle has already been fired it doesn't really matter if you get the miss buff. I increased the duration of the miss to like 12 seconds, and after the first shot I began to see the misses. But that first shot is always dead on. Perhaps the type of attack used is what makes the difference... Instant/Normal/Missle/Artillery ... not sure, I tried changing him to normal but I got the same problem..

The system is working for the regular melee non projectile types.
