Ok, so basically how do you make a unit do an ability ?, I dont know what to do, do I need to change the units to a hero and then have the abilitys be items ?, please help me I need help

Figure out what the base spell is.
Then do unit -> issue an order targeting a blablhablah
That blablhablah is based on what your spell targets. Then find the spell in that loooong list.
EX
For war stomp
Unit: issue unit an order with no target
Then change it to
Unit: issue unit to Orc - Tauren Chieftan - War Stomp
--donut3.5--
