First of all. they looks great. Second, can you gys not explain why he should swap? I can't really see it. It feels way more logic that "hit" is when someone trying kick it open or opens it, I'm not sure how the aniamtions is set to a chest but it had been more logic if birth was like when you open a chest but leaves the item since you cant pick more, it closes again and do that shake with the locker when closed.
Still feels like birth had ben more logic to been a reverse death if anyhting.

Another thing is that this model is set to 1.100 and since its in wc3 classic section is should be 800 or 1k (800 most likely).
Still when checking sanity it just comeplains about minor things but still would fix them (sanity can be seen by setting it to 800 or 1k version).

Portrait and Stand misses time. Right now it just a name and has no second to play or keyframes at all. its 0 sec long.
Plane bones could be set to helper to stop sanity from sending warning.
It says its missing starting keyframe (at 0) for Rotation in Birth and Stand hit. Just add a keyframe quick.
is says it has some unused keyframes (12), it very low and could be ignored.

Over all a nice job m8.
I love the ghost model!

Cheers!

 More Chests are always welcomed, if one could suggest something.
  • A version with open lids would be nice for each chest.
  • Maybe variations with vertical lighting coming out of the chest would also be welcomed (like in Diablo/Poe)
  • You can make a better model preview for the resource on Hive (similar to how other authors are uploading - where the preview is a GIF animation of the resource)

Stand hit animations are for when something is hit but stays in whatever shape or state they were (Alive/Not broken).
For example when a peon hits a tree, it moves on each hit but it doesn't fall down.
If you kick the chest, the lock would move but not necesarily open; and when it does reach 0 hp, it opens.
(This is only in the case you're not using the chest as an actual item but as a unit or dooad.)

So... what was this about?

Sorry to interfere, just passing by, but probably I can explain:

I suppose @Astromen has meant the same thing as @kadakash1, literally "if the birth animation was stand hit instead".

1. As it was already highlighted by @kadakash1 in Warcraft 3 "stand hit" is a typical animation for desctructible being attacked - and usually it is cycled, like the one for a tree - but the "stand hit" here is not.
2. More than that, these chests' "stand hit" animations are literally "birth" animation of a standard chest (you can check it, if you have Warcraft 3).
3. These chests' "birth" animations behave just like typical "stand hit" animation for Warcraft 3 destructibles - they are cycled and dispays chests being hit.

Some 'difffilculty' here comes from the fact, that the standard Warcraft 3 chest is open, while playing its "stand" animation, whereas chests here are closed 'by default':gg:

But this is not an unsolvable problem.

I commented this mostly for making more love and not misunderstanding. And practicing in writing sentences in English, probably:grin:

Well guys, both of you, it's great but it's not my model. I wrote that ppl should explain in instead of just telling him to change it (so HE knew why).

Then I just state my feeling about animations. For me a birth is better to be a reverse death then what it is now.

Still. You are @/replying to the wrong guy here.

Maybe he sees it, maybe not.
Still, had been better with a reply aimed directly to him, not to me, while you explain why ppl tell him to change.

Yea and why was it for me? That's the question, same for the guy before you.
If you are really interested - because of this

This made me think you really wanted some clarification of the idea of swapping the animations. Probably my mistake.

An author of chests gave like for @kadakash1 message, so he probably did not need such an explanation, I thought.

Yea I guess you to took that sentence wrong, it was a statement that it migh be better to explain to to HIM (the Author) instead of just telling him to change it.

This:
I can't really see it. is just how I see a more logic way for animations to be. Not sure how you both got this wrong to. I wrote: "It feels way more logic that "hit" is when someone trying to kick it open or opens it

Nothing in that sentence saying that I don't see Stand Hit the same way as you guys seeing it, as how a tree react on a hit from a worker.

Since you want him to swap stand hit with be birth (leading to that stand hits keyframe will be the animation for birth instead), are you telling me its more logic that the tree would grow out of ground with same anim as if a worker hits it?
