Cannon Barrel up/down with arrow keys

This is more of a model related question i think, so I post it here.


This is not a first person view, its sort of a third person view so you see the barrel of the cannon that your shooting. I want the actual barrel of the model to move up and down in relation to pressing the arrow keys. Which would be hard to do I think..

Any ideas of how to acomplish this? Maybe make alot of animations of the barrel at different heights and call upon that animation when you press the up key. I'm not sure that would work though, and would take a lot of animations.

you could make one animation that goes up and one that goes down
and make a trigger that pauses the animation.

this migth work

  • Untitled Trigger 001
    • Events
      • Player - Player 1 (Red) Presses the Up Arrow key
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • Unit Group - Pick every unit in (Units owned by Player 1 (Red) of type Paladin) and do (Actions)
        • Loop - Actions
          • Animation - Play (Picked unit)'s up going animation animation
          • Wait 0.10 seconds
          • Animation - Change (Picked unit)'s animation speed to 0.00% of its original speed
