Tried to make a "distance-close" effect, starting small in the middle of the icon and getting bigger/fatter when coming near the borders.

Excellent, not really obvious distant > closer effect yet quite good, doing distance in an icon like this is quite hard.

There aren't many icons like this one, mostly its seen from the sides but this one is just amazing

Looks cool, but it's hard to tell it's supposed to be spiralling at the moment. The loop that stops in the corner would need to continue all the way around before most people would be able to tell it's going in circles. At the moment it looks like a chain of lightning with a ball of lightning on the end of it. (to me). Still looks good enough for a 4/5 though.
