Pyramidhe@d: This isnt all that visually interesting. Overly simplified shape and shading. The effects arent that special either.

It is very niiice.
Some red stuff on it looks like not shaded well.

I'd suggest you make the background black, as even though it's only a small portion of the icon, it detracts from the overall look of it. As for the spear itself, it seems fine, but could use a more metallic feel to it by adding darker shading.
