This looks pretty good, I could be a bit darker with a tiny bit of blurring to blend it into the black a bit more but overall its exceptional.

One thing you could do would be to add a faint glow to skulls eyes for dramatic effect, but thats just me...

4/5 with some +rep for a nice icon...

the skull is not human type, BG is not black that makes this icon looks OFF wc3 style, but the sword looks good.

It doesn't look like the sword was coming down and hitting the skull, it looks like its just breaking as it lays there. Fix the effect that the sword looks like its flying down towards the skull.
