Anyhow, try to make some shape out of the rays, right now, it look like multiple light sources.
Also, you need some 'center' for the light to come from. And some of it s just.. Black.. Color it.

and for the icon, you might want to consider working on it a bit more, the ray is just plain yellow, it usually has a bit of opacity and you might want to make it more of a ray coming from the top right corner or so. Smudge tool D:

Anyways, @Icon. All I can say is it looks like a golden amoeba. Shapeless, sprawling blob. Shape it up a bit, light beams are sharp and don't curve. And use a stronger, less dull shade of yellow.

...took about 5-10 minutes.

You took a background of green, threw some yellow in, and smudged it all out. Minus a few smaller details, such as black, and orange. Oh and the disbtn is wrong.

Lord of the Flies was a great book that explored the darkness existing within the human mind. The story sucked. lol
