I like the sword, but those white things, whatever they are, they are strange.
Maybe add a different glow.

i like the way the sword looks. it looks nice and clean. a bit too clean... Could we see some WIPs or a Full Picture to see if this is your work?

if it is your work, I must commend you for your hard work, but it will still need fixing. You will really need to enlarge the sword as it it way too small to be seen right now.

But Overall, its just WAY TOO PLAIN. fix up the BG so it makes the icon look more Exciting! We see way too many sword icons on the hive and it isn't really impressing us all that much. TRY SOMTHING NEW! The glow(?) could also use a bit of work.

I think the sword needs to be enlarged. It's far too small right now.

I like the sword, but I hate the background. Again.. Zoom in. Show details on the sword. I don't know what you should make as background. Maybe blood.

enjoy pretty much summarised what i needed to say. right now those things on the background is way too distracting and you havent emphasised the blood enough
