I dunno if this was your intention, but it looks futuristic to me. Not that there is anything wrong with it, but I am not sure if you were aiming for that. Might only be me though
Regardless, this looks neat, futuristic or not.

I thought it was a gun or rolled newspaper. The background must be smoother and the highlights must be stronger to look more metallic,

I think, for long bracers, it is much better to be a tappered one because this will now include to cover not only the wrist but some part of the arm.

Finally, some feedback from me.
Okay, this is a bracer.
It's a metallic item, so it needs a better contrast, add some stronger highlights and shadows.
The bg is kinda distracting, too much shine around a simple item, try to reduce the bg brightness to a level that would emphasize the object, but would not attract attention from it.
Also, u could improve a bit its form, to look less like a pipe and more like a functional bracer (slightly tapered tube).
