Maybe a bit too blurry, but atleast you got the right angle of shading. Usually, black space in background isn't a neat thing to see. Zoom in the shield, and define the edges with black color. Try to use more color variations, and go with orange instead of yellow.

It still looks blurry, and it's still a little far away. It doesn't matters if the shiled is a little cutted down by borders, it fill fill the emptyness icon possesses.

You are heading in the right direction. It is good, but always try to enlarge them so that one part of icon still doesn't stays blank. But it's better than the previous one. One thing that also buggs me is the emptiness of the icon itself. There is a bunch of red color and two small yellow symbols. Try to fill it up with something, either that will be metal texture or something else. Take a look at other shield icons on this site
