zombie2279: Pretty decent, the effect is quite well made, but the overall simplicity of the ring ruins it. Redoing the shading and highlights would be a need, but it's approvable without the changes anyway. You might want try your chances with a glow.

Hmm yea I must admit that the force shield was a last minute idea, I actually only intended to make it have an armor looking ornament on it.

But the forcefield is blue, not purple.

Maybe I should remove the forcefield and just leave the sparks and the ring itself... Maybe - Else I'll properly make it as another icon (With some other color's perhaps)

He He But I am quite happy with the positive responds I receive, after all I never once took a tutorial about how to create things like this - The only Photoshop tutorial I ever used was to make a water drop, and thats it

Thanks, the ring actually has a large amount of shading (and shadows) but impossible to see, hope it will useful anyway.

Nahh size 698. Huh... I actually though I was working with size 512

It's because resolution is to big and even if you make some details, they wont be visible at 64 just try to make a "normal size" dot in 512 and resize image down to 64x64, you'll see what happens.

But this is for icons, if you like to make bigger stuff stick with larger resoultion =)

Yep I know, thats the exact reason why I made them too large, too used to making large pictures

But indeed didn't think of starting small with icons, as I wrote I am also mostly making them for fun.

For a 5/5, might I suggest some more emphasis on the ring? (it is the main item after all) Perhaps a glow, or shadows, I dunno, anything you see fit, to draw the attention of my eyes towards the ring. Because currently the ring is sharing its center stage with the shield.

K I agree, but most likely won't change it as I figure to use a the gold ring in a changed form as a stand alone icon. If I do something nice with it I might just change it on this one also.
