oh_snap: Overall, it has a scratchiness feeling to it, which throws off the entire icon. You need to make the weapon, at the very least, smoother, and more like a nice clean metal blade. It also looks extremely 2D, seeming to lack shadows, and highlights in some places. The background needs some work aswell, and I would suggest use this for inspiration: http://www.iphoneatmo.com/images/wallpapers/3anjj37ib.jpg And as for the scratchiness, it's something that has bothered me about most of your icons, as it throws off the icons as a whole.

Spear overall is lacking alot, you cant hardly see it because its behind the green poison. Make the spear more see able and then put on the poison on top of around the spear.

To be honest, it doesn't seems to look like anything right now. The spear seems to be really short because of the perspective and the poison is lacking. Are those drops? This is NOT how poison looks like.

To be really honest, this is the best damn icon you have made so far, that's my point of view ;D, but ya too much poisen and blackness on the spear make it like a 100 years of war with that spear

First one = A poisoned spear, really unique and well done.

Second one = A rather bad poisoned spear, the black line on left and right of it, is simply bad " point of view ".
