The PKM Heavy machine gun is my second modern warfare icon. I tried to concentrate on minor details, I have no idea why, since all of the little gadgets were lost during resizing. Even though the full pic is better detailed than my AK-47 one, this one looks worse resized. Drawn with Gimp, 100% freehand (well, I've copied the hammer and sickle from my other icon, but since I made that aswell, I think it counts as freehand. If not, the other 95% is freehand.)

Full pic for the moderation (sorry, I didn't bother removing the white borders): http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm144/zombie2279/resized-pkm1.jpg

The PK is a 7.62 mm general purpose machine gun designed in the Soviet Union and currently in production in Russia. Its NATO equivalents are the FN MAG, MG3, and M60 machine guns. The PK machine gun was introduced in the 1960s and replaced the SGM and RPD machine guns in Soviet service. The PK machine gun can be used as a light anti-aircraft weapon when it is put on an AA mount. One feature typical to Soviet machine guns is that the standard model feeds from the right and ejects its spent cases via an ejection port on the left side of the weapon, as opposed to the right side ejection port seen in most western machine guns.

I doubt I'll make ushankas or boots seperately, but I will make Uniforms and helmets (or hats) as upgrade levels. I already have them planned for the soviet side:

Lv1: Khaki uniform and Blue beret (might be an ushanka instead of the beret)
Lv2: KLMK camo uniform and SSh-60 helmet
Lv3: Kevlar armor and MASKA-1 ballistic helmet

I'll only make them after I've finished making the weapons, and that will take a while.
