as i c it is bad idea to use a size multiple of 2 (512 for now)... need to go back for 600*600. it has better smooth effect after compression.

I thought Power of 2 sizes were supposed to be ideal in such situations

Looks very grainy, would fit into other games but not Warcraft where looking smooth is more important than detail.
Your icons didn't used to be like this, so it must have something to do with some sort of change in your procedure. Probably a resolution change in the base image.
