The top part of the guard is fine but the bottom seems to get lost and out of proportion and shape.

The blue line on the handle, make that a little less visible so it shows the handle more. The guard is better, try to make the blade a bit more sharper, make it seem metallic looking.

Keep it the same angle you had it, but on the side of the blade thats darker, add a small light source then that will make it seem more metallic.
