1 question, why the bandage seems to be in black colour?

I though the bandage are usually at white or brown for mummy. But I could be wrong.

Blame the Crypt Fiend texture due to having a cartoony style on the bandages. The black stripes are just very contrasted outlines for the bandages.

No alternate way to replace it?

I believe you should do a custom texture for this model,
and this icon is.. uh...bad.
The wrap is so weird on its jaw.
