(You can add more contrast, it will probably look better, but, I'm not sure, it could be just me, I just love contrast :])

Just wanted to add this to my moderation comment:
"Crisper shading" means that you have to learn to create more defined shading.
You currently work with blobs of colours, which looks messy in the big image and the icon.
