Not really liking the swirly lines around the beam itself, also when the beam hits the ground should give off a bigger blast than that, add more rocks flying or a different color blue aura flying since its a "mana" beam.

Too simple, monotone and flat, this icon could use more creativity.
It's stylized in a kinda simplistic way, try experimenting more on it.
Also, it lacks definition and dynamism.
I suggest u to add some details, color variation, shading, to work more accurately.
Try to make more interesting compositions.
But, in order to succeed, u have to practice more.
