before i clicked on the icon, i didnt know it was something related to a loabster, it looked like some kind of cital / mountains to me.
the carapace job seems to appear to be only some red with burning and dodging. you could make some parts more lightned than other, or just take a reference pic, that would help, undoubtly.

Pretty good. I like the blue stuff above the carapace. It is better than the second one. 4/5
