It doesn't look all that great. it just looks like you used a faded circle brush and drew random teal lines across the icon. It really doesn't look like lightning at all and lacks complete shading and highlights.

Try to make the lightning more defined by making it larger and adding some highlights along the edges. and try making the ball a bit more unique. A solid colour does not look good at all. And seriously. add a BG. a black BG can be very boring and so generic.

1/5 This needs a ton more work. fix the things i mentioned and i will critique this again.

I dont know much about how to do icons, but i think it needs some glow or something. It doesnt look like laser that much. Try to mess around with your gimp/ps/paint or whatever you use, and try to make it look better

Adrian, stop making lots of icons.. make one detailed icon instead of 3 undetailed icons..

the static or whatever they are needs to be more prominent. right now they just look like statics or somthing
and put a very bright white glow in the middle. or atleast make the middle really bright to show that its a light/laser
