Try defining the edges a bit more. Make them darker, as JtT said, and try to make a darker background. This one is not fitting quite well. Also, when you look closer at the icon, you will notice that it's kinda deformed.

Its just horseshoe. What do you want to horseshow? I think it doesnt need some glow or diamonts and crystal. Its just normal horseshoe

Well, the shadings on the background are not visible. It was nicer while it was light blue, by my own opinion.
I suggest you to ,,play" with colors, and find the one that would fit this icon the best.

Okay, maybe the yellow you tried is good for the grey horseshoe. But, don't make that yellow-brown color background so solid, try to make it smooth. And instead of constant replacing and updating your icons, try posting a single image attachment so we can follow and tell you whether is it good or not, without previous changing of icons. I suggest image of only BTNHorseshoe.

I think it would look much better if you zoomed in on the horseshoe a lot and removed the BG completely.
