zombie2279: The effect is too overdone, the book is lost within its gasp. The rest, mostly the book's cover is too simple, the rune on it could use a 3D-ish placing, with adding some more shading to it. The cover itself could use some cracks, scratches, or simply more decorative elements and shading to make it less plain.
